Fifty slim metal clips in a resealable tub — the workhorse clip for sectioning, colour and setting.

The plain metal sectioning clip that lives on every station. Two spring-hinged arms close onto the hair with a firm, even grip, and the long tapered point slides cleanly into a section without dragging or catching. The slotted upper arm keeps the clip light and lets a little air through when hair is drying underneath. At 6.5cm they're small enough to sit flat against the head under a cape or hood, and slim enough that you can work several into a head without them fighting each other. Supplied 50 to a resealable tub, so they stay together instead of scattering through a drawer.

How to Use

1. Comb out the section you want to hold.
2. Press the lever tab to open the clip, slide the pointed arm along the scalp into the base of the section, and release.
3. Check the clip is holding the whole section flat rather than gripping only the surface.
4. To release, press the tab and lift the clip clear rather than pulling it through the hair.

Cautions

Check each clip before use and discard any that are bent, sprung or have a sharp edge. Do not force a clip closed on a section that is too thick for it. Take care around the scalp and ears — the point is tapered.

Chemical services: many colour, lightening and perm manufacturers instruct that all metal objects, including clips and pins, be removed from the hair before the product is applied. Always follow the instructions for the product you are using.

Keep out of reach of children. Not a toy.

Storage

Return the clips to the tub after use and close the lid. Keep dry — wipe clips down if they've been near water, colour or lightener, as residue left on metal will pit and stain the finish over time.
