Spring-loaded sectioning clips with a soft padded jaw, sized by hair length.

These clips clamp a section without the hard bite of a bare plastic jaw. The lower jaw is faced with a soft, felt-textured pad that spreads pressure across the whole contact area, so sections sit held rather than crushed. The upper jaw is a curved, deeply vented shell — wavy slots run the full length of the body, keeping air moving through the section rather than sealing it in. The outer face carries a fine cross-hatch texture for grip when your hands are wet or gloved.

Four sizes cover hair from 9cm through to 28cm, so you can match the clip to the length you're working with rather than forcing one size across every client. All four share the same 8cm pad width — only the wrap depth increases, so a larger size gives you more capacity without changing how the clip sits against the head. Each size carries its number moulded into the body, so they stay easy to sort once they're loose in a drawer.

Sizes #3 and #4 overlap between 22cm and 25cm. In that band, choose #3 for a firmer hold on a finer section, or #4 for more coverage across a thicker one.

How to Use

Match the clip to the length of hair you're working with using the size guide above.

Press the tab at the hinge to open the jaws. Position the clip over the section so the padded jaw sits against the hair, then release to close. The clip holds by spring pressure alone — no twisting or locking needed.

To remove, press the tab again and lift the clip clear rather than pulling it off the section.

Wipe the pad and jaws clean after use. If the pad picks up product, clean it before it dries.

Cautions

• Professional salon tool. Keep out of reach of children — the spring hinge and small moving parts are a pinch and choking hazard
• No temperature rating is supplied with these clips. Do not assume they are rated for direct contact with heated rods, irons or any heat source unless the manufacturer confirms a working temperature
• Do not force the jaws beyond their natural opening — over-extending will weaken or break the spring
• Replace any clip with a torn or detached pad, a cracked jaw, or a spring that no longer closes firmly
• Do not soak in solvent, bleach or strong colour remover; wipe clean instead
• Avoid clamping over knots or tangles — work the section smooth first
• Using a clip well outside its size band puts uneven pressure on the section — match the size to the length

Storage

Store dry, in a tray or drawer where the jaws sit closed and unloaded. Keep away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight, which can make the plastic brittle and the pad stiff.
