A long dual-spaced cutting comb — fine teeth for the detail, wider teeth for everything before it.

A full-length cutting comb with two tooth spacings along a single straight spine. Closely spaced fine teeth run along one half for taking clean sections, combing hair flat and working precisely at the perimeter; the other half opens out to wider spacing that moves through damp or thicker hair without dragging. The spine is smooth and flat with a turned lip at each end that stops your fingers running off, and the matte surface keeps its grip when your hands are wet. Model 689, in blue.

How to Use

1. Use the wider-toothed end to comb through and distribute the hair before you start.
2. Turn to the fine-tooth end to take clean sections and comb the hair flat for cutting.
3. Lift the section on the fine teeth and cut against the comb.
4. Rinse and wipe down after use.

Cautions

Check the comb before each use and discard it if any tooth is cracked, bent or has a rough edge — a damaged tooth will snag and can scratch the scalp. Keep away from direct heat, hot irons and open flame. Do not use as a heat-resistant comb unless the manufacturer confirms it is rated for that. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Wash and dry after use, and store flat or hanging in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
