A tail comb that doesn't limit you to one tooth spacing. The head carries closely spaced fine teeth along one part for smoothing sections and combing hair flat, opening out to wider spacing at the outer end for moving through thicker or damper hair without dragging. Behind it runs a slim tapered tail for drawing clean partings, weaving out sections for foils, and lifting at the root. It means you can part, section and comb through without swapping tools mid-service. Moulded in one piece with no metal parts. Model 199, in blue.

How to Use

1. Use the tail to draw partings — rest the point against the scalp and pull through in one steady movement rather than sawing.
2. For foil work, weave the tail in and out along the section to pick up the strands you want, then lift them clear.
3. Use the wider-spaced end of the head to move through thicker or damper hair.
4. Turn to the fine teeth to comb the section smooth before placing a foil or applying product.
5. Rinse and wipe down after use.

Cautions

The tail is pointed — keep it away from the eyes and never point it toward a client's face. Draw partings with steady, even pressure rather than digging into the scalp. Check the comb before each use and discard it if the tail is cracked or bent, or if any tooth is chipped or has a rough edge. Keep away from direct heat, hot irons and open flame. Do not use as a heat-resistant comb unless the manufacturer confirms it is rated for that. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Wash and dry after use, and store flat or hanging in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Store where the tail can't be bent or leaned on.
