XD - #116 BEAU PRO COMB

A tail comb moulded in one piece, with a long tapered tail running back from a fine-tooth head. The tail is the point of the tool: it draws a clean, straight parting in a single pass, weaves out fine sections for foils and highlights, lifts and separates during setting, and hooks a section out of the way without you putting the comb down. The fine teeth handle the smoothing and sectioning either side of that. Because it's moulded as a single piece of plastic with no metal parts, there's nothing to react with colour or lightener and nothing to work loose. Model 116, in blue.

How to Use

1. Use the tail to draw partings — rest the point against the scalp and pull it through in one steady movement rather than sawing.
2. For foil work, weave the tail in and out along the section to pick up the strands you want, then lift them clear.
3. Use the fine teeth to comb the section smooth before you place the foil or apply product.
4. To section off, part with the tail, then use it to sweep the unwanted hair back and clip it away.
5. Rinse and wipe down after use.

Cautions

The tail is pointed — keep it away from the eyes and never point it toward a client's face. Draw partings with steady, even pressure rather than digging into the scalp. Check the comb before each use and discard it if the tail is cracked or bent, or if any tooth is chipped or has a rough edge. Keep away from direct heat, hot irons and open flame. Do not use as a heat-resistant comb unless the manufacturer confirms it is rated for that. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Wash and dry after use, and store flat or hanging in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Store where the tail can't be bent or leaned on.
