The Wahl Professional Artiva is a rechargeable cord/cordless clipper in a dark grey metallic finish. It has a quick-release blade and a click taper lever, and charges over USB-C. The box lists it for bulk removal, tapering, longer hair cutting and clipper-over-comb work. It comes with six guide combs, a flat-top clipper comb, a cleaning brush and blade oil.

How to Use

1. Charge fully before first use, with the clipper switched off. Plug the USB-C cable into the clipper first, then into the power source.
2. Press the power button to switch on, and press it again to switch off after use.
3. Use the taper lever to change the cut length, within the 0.7–3.0 mm range.
4. For a longer cut, clip on a guide comb.
5. If the battery runs low, connect the USB-C cable to keep working corded. If the battery has run down completely, charge for 1 minute with the clipper switched off before using it corded.

Battery indicator: the LEDs show the charge level in stages: under 10%, 0–25%, 25–50%, 50–75%, 75–100% and 100%.

Travel lock: press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to lock. The LEDs flash 3 times. To unlock, press and hold again for 3 seconds, or connect the clipper to a charger.

Cautions

• Keep the appliance dry. Do not use it while bathing or in a shower, and do not place or store it where it could fall into water.
• For use on human hair, beard and eyebrows only. For commercial use.
• Use only the supplied USB-C cable with a certified USB power source.
• Charge, use and store between 10°C and 40°C, and avoid direct sunlight.
• Cutting blades may become hot after prolonged use.
• Do not use with a damaged or broken blade or comb.
• Do not use outdoors or while aerosol (spray) products are being used.
• The battery is not user-replaceable. Do not disassemble, pierce, crush, heat or burn the appliance.
• Children aged 14 and above may use it with supervision. Children should not play with it, and cleaning should not be done by children without supervision.
• Do not use bleach, benzene, thinners, solvents or scouring agents.
• Dispose of the battery at a proper collection point, not in household waste.

Cleaning and Storage

• After each use, remove the guide comb and brush loose hair from the blade and housing.
• The blade pops off for easy cleaning. Switch the clipper off before removing it.
• Oil the blade often. Put one drop in the centre of the top blade and one drop at each end, switch on briefly, then wipe away excess oil.
• Wipe the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Always switch off before storing.
• Do not wind the cable around the clipper. Keep it untwisted.
