The Wahl Professional 5-Star Vapor Switch is a rechargeable cordless clipper with a black body and a silver V-shaped accent. You can switch between two motor speeds, 7,000 and 9,000 RPM, using the speed button, and the LED display shows the speed and the battery level. It comes with a charge stand, a USB-C charge cable, seven guide combs, a flat-top clipper comb, a cleaning brush and blade oil.

How to Use

1. Before first use, charge for 2 hours. Switch the clipper off, plug the USB-C cable into the clipper first, then into the power source. You can also place the clipper in the charge stand with the nameplate facing forward. Connect the cable to the stand first, then to the power source.
2. Press the power button to switch on, and press it again to switch off after use.
3. Press the speed button to change between 7,000 RPM (blue LED) and 9,000 RPM (purple LED).
4. Use the taper lever to adjust the cut. With the lever fully up, the blades give their closest cut. Pushing it down gradually increases the cutting length.
5. For a longer cut, clip on a guide comb.
6. If the battery runs low, connect the USB-C cable to keep working corded. If the battery has run down completely, charge for 1 minute with the clipper switched off before using it corded.

Battery LEDs

• 4 solid LEDs: fully charged
• 3 solid LEDs: at least 75%
• 2 solid LEDs: at least 50%
• 1 solid LED: at least 25%
• Flashing LEDs: about 10% charge remaining
• All LEDs flash 5 times: the clipper has detected excessive load and the motor has stopped. Unplug and plug it back in, then switch on again.

Travel lock: press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds to lock. All LEDs flash 3 times. To unlock, press and hold again for 3 seconds, or connect the clipper to a charger.

Cautions

• Keep the appliance dry. Do not use it while bathing or in a shower, and do not place or store it where it could fall into water.
• For use on human hair, beard and eyebrows only. For commercial use.
• Use only the supplied USB-C cable with a certified USB power source, minimum output 5V 2A.
• Charge, use and store between 10°C and 40°C, and avoid direct sunlight.
• Cutting blades may become hot after prolonged use.
• Do not use with a damaged or broken blade or comb.
• Do not use outdoors or while aerosol (spray) products are being used.
• The battery is not user-replaceable. Do not disassemble, pierce, crush, heat or burn the appliance.
• Children aged 14 and above may use it with supervision. Children should not play with it, and cleaning should not be done by children without supervision.
• Do not use bleach, benzene, thinners, solvents or scouring agents.
• Dispose of the battery at a proper collection point, not in household waste.

Cleaning and Storage

• After each use, remove the guide comb and brush loose hair from the blade and housing.
• Oil the blade often. Put one drop in the centre of the top blade and one drop at each end, switch on briefly, then wipe away excess oil.
• Wipe the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Always switch off before storing.
• Do not wind the cable around the clipper. Keep it untwisted.
