The Magic Clip is Wahl's answer to the hardest part of a fade: the line where one length meets the next. Its patented Stagger-Tooth blade uses alternating teeth to create texture while it cuts, softening the finish and diffusing lines of demarcation so blends come together with far less chasing. Crunch Blade Technology gives the crisp, audible crunch that tells you no hair is being missed. Behind it sits a high-performance 5500 RPM rotary motor in a body that weighs just 290g and balances properly in the hand — and it runs corded or cordless, so a flat battery never ends a service. How to Use
- Charge for 2 hours before first use. Switch the clipper off, plug the power cord directly into the unit, and connect to the mains. The LED pulses while charging and holds solid when full.
- Adjust the cutting length with the taper lever — uppermost gives the closest cut, and pushing it down progressively increases the length.
- For longer work, fit a cutting guide over the blade.
- Cut as normal. A solid LED means charged; a flashing LED means roughly 20% remaining.
- If the battery runs out mid-service, connect the power cord and continue working corded. If the battery is completely flat, leave it charging for one minute with the clipper switched off before running it corded.
- After use, brush the cut hair from the blade and apply blade oil.
If the LED flashes quickly five times, the clipper has detected excessive blade load and locked out. Switch it off, inspect the blade set for debris or foreign objects, clean it, oil the blades, then plug the charger cord into the unit to reset the lock-out. Switch back on. If the flashing continues after this, contact a Wahl service centre.
Cautions
Keep the clipper away from water and do not use with wet hands. Switch off and disconnect from the mains before cleaning or changing the blade. Clean the unit with a clean cloth, dry or dampened with water only — never use bleach, benzene or thinner. Keep the blade oiled; running a dry blade damages the blade set and shortens motor life. Do not use the clipper if the blade is damaged, chipped or misaligned. Contains a lithium-ion battery: do not incinerate, crush or expose to high temperatures, and dispose of it through an appropriate recycling point. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store in a dry place away from damp and direct heat. Fit the blade guard and keep the guides together with the unit. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the clipper.
