The Inova is TUFT's compact professional dryer, built around an electronically controlled dual propelling motor and weighing just 320g — light enough that a full day of blow-drys doesn't end in a sore wrist. An LED panel on the barrel shows the exact temperature you're working at, and heat steps through five defined settings from a 25°C cool through to 120°C, with four separate speed settings on their own control. Built-in ionic technology cuts static and frizz for a smoother finish. A memory function recalls your last settings when you switch on, the cold shot locks so it can't be knocked mid-service, and an auto-cleaning function clears dust from the filter without dismantling anything. Supplied with a diffuser, two concentrator nozzles and a bench stand.

How to Use

1. Towel-dry the hair to remove excess water before you start.
2. Press the power switch up to turn the dryer on.
3. Set the speed with the upper control — press + to increase, − to reduce.
4. Set the heat with the lower control, stepping through 25°C, 40°C, 80°C, 100°C and 120°C.
5. Work on higher heat and speed while the hair is wet, circulating the dryer rather than holding it on one spot.
6. As the hair dries, drop the heat and speed and shape with a styling brush. Fit a concentrator for directed airflow, or the diffuser for curls.
7. Finish on the cool setting, or use the cold shot, to set the style.
8. Press the power switch down to turn off.

Cleaning the filter — weekly, or as needed: unplug the dryer, turn the rear cap anticlockwise to remove it, brush the filter gently to clear dirt and debris, wipe with a barely damp cloth, and let it dry completely before refitting. Never run water or liquid directly onto the filter.

Cautions

Indoor use only. Read all instructions before use and keep the appliance away from water. Electrical parts remain live even when the switch is off — always unplug immediately after use. Do not use while bathing, and do not use near bathtubs, showers, basins or any other vessel containing water. Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall into a tub or sink, and never reach into water for an appliance that has fallen in — unplug it first. Never leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.

Close supervision is required when the appliance is used by, on or near children. It may be used by children aged 8 and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience only under supervision or instruction, with an understanding of the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance, and cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unsupervised.

Do not direct hot air toward the eyes or other heat-sensitive areas. Never block the air openings or place the dryer on a soft surface, and keep the openings free of hair and lint. Keep hair away from the air inlets during use. Do not place the appliance on any surface while it is running. Attachments may become hot in use — allow them to cool before handling. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and never wrap it around the appliance. Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person. There are no user-serviceable parts inside; if a fault occurs, return the appliance to the distributor or service centre rather than attempting a repair.

Where the appliance is used near water, an outlet protected by a residual current device rated at no more than 30mA is advisable — ask a qualified installer. If the dryer shuts down after a fast electrical pulse, restarting it manually is normal behaviour.

Storage

Unplug the appliance when not in use and allow it to cool before storing. Never wrap the cord around the body — handle it carefully and avoid jerking, sharp bends or twisting, particularly at the plug connection. Store in a dry place out of reach of children.
