Majicover is L'Oréal Professionnel's permanent colour crème for coverage work. The range is structured around three groups: a clean run of naturals from black through to lightest blonde, a pair of deep coverage shades for resistant grey, and a set of CC shades carrying ash and mocha reflects for cooler, more neutral results. That structure means you can cover, deepen or cool a base without leaving the range.

The formula is enriched with Ionène G and mixes 1:1.5 with L'Oréal Professionnel Oxydant Crème. Supplied in 50ml aluminium tubes.

How to read a Majicover shade number

A bare number is a natural — the higher the number, the lighter the result, from 1 black to 10 lightest blonde.

A number written x.00 is a deep coverage shade, built to work harder on resistant grey. The 4.00 is designated Fundamental Deep Coverage on its own carton.

CC shades carry cooler tones. The digits after the point are the reflect: .1 is ash, .8 is mocha, and .18 combines the two.

How to Use

Professional use only. Carry out a 48-hour allergy alert test before every colour service, and wear suitable disposable gloves throughout preparation, application and rinsing.

Mix 1 part Majicover with 1.5 parts L'Oréal Professionnel Oxydant Crème and apply immediately.

Follow the application sequence and development time in the instruction leaflet supplied inside the carton, or in your L'Oréal Professionnel technical guide.

Rinse thoroughly, then shampoo and treat.

Cautions

Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Ignoring an allergy can be life-threatening. An allergy alert test must be carried out 48 hours before each colouring, even if the client has used this or another colourant before. Read and follow the instructions supplied inside the carton.

• Not intended for use on persons under the age of 16
• Wear suitable disposable gloves during preparation, application and rinsing
• Do not use if your client has a rash on the face, or a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp, or has ever reacted to a hair colourant
• Do not use on clients who have experienced a reaction to a temporary "black henna" tattoo — these increase the risk of allergy
• Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows
• Avoid contact with eyes. If product enters the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly
• Rinse hair well after application
• Wait at least 2 weeks after bleaching, or after a relaxer, perm or straightening process, before applying colour
• For level 11 and above, do not use with hydrogen peroxide greater than 20 volumes (6%) on hair that has been relaxed
• Do not use on hair coloured with henna or a progressive hair colourant
• This range may contain resorcinol, phenylenediamines, ammonia and 2-methylresorcinol. Ingredient lists differ by shade — refer to the tube for the shade you are using
• Keep out of reach of children

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the cap tightly closed. Use within 18 months of opening. Do not decant into unlabelled containers.
